Generally bright and contrasting colors are used for tie and dye. The discovery of dyes dates back to ancient times when it was noticed that colors could be extracted from different flowers, leaves and plants, creating natural colours. The fabric designs created through tie and dye are extremely colorful and vibrant Lehariya, bandhej, bandhni and Mothra are some of the forms of tie and dye technique.
‘Pitchkari’ is used for throwing liquid colour on each other during Holi.Holi is a festival of colours and signifies”The victory of good over evil”.This festival of colours also helps people to come together and forget the hardships and develop a spirit of bonhomie and brotherhood.
‘Maya’ meaning wealth and riches.Inspired by the gold ornaments worn by Indian women. The shine, the brilliance of all those gems and jewels leaves one, blinded and amazed to see such magnificent beauty of designs cast in gold by our traditional goldsmiths. This creation is a play of saffron and yellow blends. Saffron also happens to be the most sacred color it represents fire, and as impurities are burnt by fire, this color symbolizes purity.
‘Khushi’ means “Happiness”.This design was created on a piece of plain cotton cloth with the idea of Happiness in a mind.Have kept the design very simple because ‘happiness’ is a most expressive emotion, and the most beautiful one.
